Cuca Roseta, singer

Guincho is an explosion of nature, with sea, sand and moutain as far as the eye can see

She has taken the most traditional of portuguese song to stages all over the world, but her home is Cascais, “the most beautiful place on earth, the most special”. Cuca Roseta, one of the most renowned voices of contemporary Fado, accepted the role of our guide in her town. A place where, like no other, she claims to find her peace. It is here that, in between her tours, Cuca has given birth to her greatest works – her children and her music. It is here, in spots such as Guincho beach, “an explosion of nature, with sea, sand and moutain as far as the eye can see”, that she enjoys her perfect days. In Cascais she renews her energies to again travel the world and do what she is destined to do: “simply sing”.
