Susana Chaves, Journalist

"Simple pleasures, such as going to the farmers market, in the morning to buy fruit, vegetables and fresh fish, riding a bicycle and getting lost in Cascais and its surroundings, having lunch at home and then going out for a walk in Park Marechal Carmona or to the beach"

Beauty Editor for Vogue Portugal for the past 15 years and author of the Beauty Airlines blog, this journalist has traveled several times around the world to check creams in Tokyo, perfumes in Moscow, soaps in Israel… However, the accumulated miles and trips do not compare to the pleasure of staying at home pampering her daughter.  Susana Chaves was born in Monte Estoril and lives in Cascais, where according to her, people tend to feel always on holidays. When asked to describe a perfect day in her village, Susana describes the simple pleasures, such as going to the country market, in the morning to buy fruit, vegetables and fresh fish, riding a bicycle and getting lost in Cascais and its surroundings, having lunch at home and then going out for a walk in Park Marechal Carmona or to the beach. The day ends perfectly in one of her favourite restaurants. Find out what other stops the traveled “captain” of the Beauty Airlines does when she finally lands at home.
