Leave Lisbon and by the Marginal Road stop in Belem and taste the unique creamy pastry, among a myriad of museums and monuments all in a raid of 200 meters. Next, try Oeiras and make the first winery stop at Confraria de Enófilos do Vinho de Carcavelos. From there you arrive in Cascais, both a fishermen village and a true Riviera with great fish and seafood restaurants to choose from. Follow the ocean line to the beaches of Guincho and Cabo da Roca (‘where the land ends and the sea begins’) and head to beautiful and magical Sintra with her palaces (Pena, Seteais, Monserrate) the stunning Quinta da Regaleira, the Moor’s Castle and all the little jewels of the old town. Soon you’ll get to Colares and to mandatory stops in great cellars and wineries like Adega Regional de Colares, Adegas Ribamar or Caves Visconde de Salreu. A new day may bring you to Ericeira (a World Surf Reservation) and her fine beaches and from there to Mafra, her overwhelming Convent, the Garden of Cerco and, naturally, the cellars of ManzWine (by Cheleiros) and Quinta Sant’Ana. The last stop for a taste of great wine is reserved for Bucelas and the fresh and light whites of Museu do Vinho e da Vinha. And back to Lisbon, take a farewell selfie on a belvedere or rooftop overlooking the city.
