Nuno Agostinho, President of AJEM (Young Madeiran Entrepreneurs Association)

Only in Madeira do I find sea and mountains separated only by 10 meters!

For this entrepreneur born in Madeira 42 years ago there’s no shortage of ideas to develop the “Pearl of the Atlantic”. The president of AJEM imagines countless projects for his island but, if you ask him to nominate only one, he highlights the dream of having a tourism related business. Nuno Agostinho knows very well the strengths of his island as a hostess, and they stretch to every district. If Funchal is the capital “where everything happens”, Câmara de Lobos charms with its bay, mixed grill and wine, Ponta do Sol is one of the most beautiful villages in Madeira, Porto Moniz has its inviting natural pools, São Vicente offers the good winds of the north sea and Santana the winds of nature, while Porto Santo has the “most golden beach”. It’s all this variety concentrated in a small portion of land that fascinates this business man. “Only in Madeira do I find sea and mountains separated only by 10 meters!”, he sums up.
